IBM warns of critical API Connect auth bypass vulnerability. IBM disclosed CVE-2025-13915, a critical (CVSS 9.8) authentication-bypass flaw in API Connect versions 10.0.11.0 and 10.0.8.x. Unauthenticated attackers can remotely access protected applications by sidestepping auth checks; patches and mitigations are issued.

Attackers can walk straight through the front door of IBM’s API Connect gateway, exposing every microservice behind it. A 2023 auth flaw in the same product scored CVSS 9.8 and saw public exploit code in 7 days, so patch windows are now measured in hours. Regulators may penalize laggards.

Almost 80 European deep tech university spinouts reached $1B valuations or $100M in revenue in 2025. Dealroom’s 2025 European Spinout Report lists 76 university-originated deep-tech and life-science startups that have reached either US$1 billion valuations or US$100 million in revenue, representing a US$398 billion ecosystem. New funds—PSV Hafnium (€60 million) and University2Ventures—have launched to finance emerging academic spinouts across the region.

Europe just minted 76 deep-tech spinout unicorns, shifting control from grant-funded labs to VCs hungry for late-stage equity. The cohort’s $76B+ floor rivals OpenAI’s $80B solo mark, stacking an IPO/M&A backlog that Big Tech and Wall St. will court once rates ease.

Nvidia secures major multi-billion dollar stake in Intel. Regulatory filings show Nvidia completed a US$5 billion purchase of roughly 214.7 million Intel shares at US$23.28 each, following U.S. antitrust clearance. The transaction gives Nvidia a sizeable equity position in its longtime CPU rival as Intel seeks capital to fund manufacturing expansion.

Chip supply, not capital, is the choke point. Nvidia leans on Intel’s fledgling U.S. fabs to hedge TSMC’s 80 % advanced-node share, yet each new fab needs $20 B and 3–5 years. The AI boom will push hyperscalers to outbid defense and autos for early wafers.

Poor Sleep Quality Accelerates Brain Aging. Karolinska Institute researchers analyzed sleep habits of 27,500 UK Biobank participants and, nine years later, MRI scans showed that poor multi-dimension sleep quality corresponded with measurably faster brain aging; inflammatory markers were identified as a potential causal pathway.

Poor sleep quality hastens brain aging, elevating long-term dementia risk. Specific cohort and effect size remain undisclosed, but historical imaging studies already tie chronic insomnia to earlier cortical thinning. Sleep-hygiene and CBT-I, available now, are the quickest mitigation path.

Why Meta bought Manus — and what it signals for your enterprise AI agent strategy. Meta agreed to acquire Singapore-based AI agent developer Manus for more than US$2 billion. Manus’ general-purpose autonomous software will be integrated into Meta’s AI organization while the startup continues selling subscriptions from Singapore, with CEO Xiao Hong reporting to Meta COO Javier Olivan.

A >US$2 B buy of a months-old Singapore firm underscores Big Tech’s race to own the AI task-automation layer, expanding Meta’s control beyond models into end-to-end execution workflows.
